I am honored to be a part of this gorgeous zine, Presence, put out by artist/musician extraordinaire Liz Harris (aka Grouper). Liz gathered a group of talented artists and writers and put together this truly unique printed piece on the theme of “The Sea”. I contributed still photographs from my time in the Arctic with some text from “albedo”, my current work in progress video piece.
Presence is available for purchase from Grouper’s band camp.

I can’t stress enough how unique and gorgeous this printed piece is! It is an oversized large tabloid size with cool inserts.

I am pleased to have been accepted as part of New York Foundation for the Arts Fiscal Sponsorship Program. Fiscal sponsorship allows individual artists to apply for grants that they would otherwise not have access to because certain funders require an applicant to have 501c3 non-profit status. NYFA acts as a non-profit umbrella organization so that artists can then apply to these grants.
It also allows artists to receive donations directly from individuals that they can write off on their taxes.
I am currently raising funds for the post-production of "albedo" to cover editing, actor and composer fees, color correction, and sound design. If you want to donate, please click on the image or title.
Every little bit helps! Thank you!
This article, "Creative Exploring in the Arctic", by Hannah Shepard just came out in Elysian Magazine. Makes me miss this place so much- it was truly a life changing experience to be there. I'm drinking coffee here on the opening spread. :) photo shot by the lovely Brooke Holm
