Perpetual Adoration is a documentation of a ritual. The nuns in this series have been praying on a rotating schedule, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, since 1878. I stayed with the nuns for a 24 hour period, documenting each shift change. There are 29 images in total.

The eucharist disappears and spins around to face the main church (which is on the other side of the chapel wall) where all the nuns are meeting for morning prayer, leaving the chapel empty.
